Water4All has supported the 2025 international “Pariscience” film festival
Scientific research on water is the heart of Water4All, and raising awareness among different audiences is also one of the keys to carry out the partnership activities. Supporting events that explain science: how it works, and what it brings to our society, is fundamental.
This festival takes place each year in Paris, France. It is dedicated to promoting and providing keys to understand current scientific issues and their impacts through the best recent scientific audiovisual production (in France and abroad). It is made for all audiences, from citizens to people involved in science.
Held last October, it was a moment when people could discover the best scientific films, with scientific experts and film teams. Other activities were also available and adapted to the audience: from professionals to the general public and school children.
Water & Ocean theme
The 2025 edition was focused on three themes through cycles of several films, among which was “Water and Ocean”. An exciting programme around movies that depict the beauty and challenges of our world and the impacts on our society. One example is a film on the river Seine that was shown to the public on October 24: Extract (in French) here: La Seine, un nouveau regard - Pariscience
Pariscience challenge “Symbiose”
The challenge Symbiose is a moment made to connect a scientist with a movie director. The objective is to make them work together and finalise a short movie in 48 hours. An inspiring 2-day challenge! A professional jury selects the best short movie and awards a 1,000 euros prize.
