Cofunded by the European Union

New versions of the leaflet are now available in different European languages!

The partnership leaflet has been translated into four languages: Spanish, Portuguese, French and Italian. Water4All will continue the leaflet translations into other languages from the countries implicated within the partnership. Download the different versions above.

The partnership interactions

Although English is the language used for communication within the Partnership, Water4All is committed to:

  • dialogue with different organisations using other languages. It is, therefore, relevant to adapt to their specific needs and give them a basic tool in their mother tongue to facilitate further understanding, cooperation, and enlarged dialogue.
  • help and allow the organisations and partners in their own country to spread information on water challenges and Water4All in a much-appropriated way.
  • informing citizens, local policy-makers, and people not involved in scientific research is also one of the objectives of the Partnership. This new material is a tool to communicate to a wider audience within Europe and abroad efficiently.

These languages (French, Spanish, Portuguese) are the first being used for the leaflet translation as they are spoken worldwide. They involve many countries, organisations and people. Water4All also began the leaflet translation into other languages (such as Italian) as part of its communication & dissemination plan.

Leaflet content

The leaflet is a short but precise presentation of the Partnership. Its goals and main activities are explained in simple terms so that non-scientific populations can understand them and enlarge their knowledge of water challenges. It also focuses on responses that scientific research develops to tackle water risks and open opportunities. It is a way to spread communication on the work carried out by the Partnership and bring awareness to non-English speakers.

Other news

The Water4All Partnership - Water Security for the Planet - is a funding programme for scientific research in freshwater. It aims to tackle water challenges to face climate change, help to achieve the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals and boost the EU’s competitiveness and growth.

It is co-funded by the European Union within the frame of the Horizon Europe programme (a key funding programme for research and innovation). The Partnership duration is for seven years from 2022.

The Water4All objective is to enable water security at a large scale and in the long term. Its goal is also to tackle water issues in a holistic frame.

All forms of life on earth need water. All human activities operate with this resource. Water is part of our everyday life. It is also integrated within urban and countryside landscapes. It is one of the most valuable elements we share with plants and animals.

These simple facts must be kept in mind to understand the Water4All ambition.

This resource is weakened in many places due to climate changes, and human habits. We know that we can improve the way we use water. Everyone has a role to play and especially the scientific research community.

Scientific research is the heart of the Partnership as It is a powerful tool to improve knowledge on preserving, restoring, and managing this essential resource.

International cooperation is also needed as water has no borders on Earth and runs from one country to another.

Water4All brings together a broad and cohesive group of 90 partners from 33 countries in the European Union and beyond. This consortium gathers partners from the whole water Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) chain.
